I have an Aldi compressor the 2hp 24ltr(wolf) power craft one and it works well mine came with a suction and gravity spray gun never used the suction but the gravity works well as does all the other bits it came with except the high pressure water jet thing but had it a few years now only needed to add a water/oil filter for spraying takes 1 minute to fill up from kick in pressure to full can't recall the figures off the top of my head and only a couple of minutes from dead empty to full. As a basic compressor I would highly recommend it I had a SIP 1hp before and it was only just better than a super size door stop.
Picked up my nail gun today and a litre of air tool oil. I could not see any compressors and so asked a staff member where they were. He reckons there was a problem with them and all stock had been removed from the branch in Victoria Road here in Stoke on Trent.

no compressors in Newport either when i looked. Was gutted as i had a bit of overtime pay that was just enough to buy the compressor and a few tools without the missus moaning lol
I have a wolf air one here in the garage if you need one? Not using it, so make me an offer? (24L, 2.5HP Motor, 9.5CFM according to the spec) I paid £100 for it in Sept 2011, but had very little use - just used to blow dust out of computers and the odd tyre.

mate went to buy one at his local Aldi, compressors withdrawn from sale-somekind of recall for a fault I gather.

On a related note, I see lidl are doing angle grinders next week, I just bought a bosch but I think I'll grab one anyway while they have them. I have an old parkside and sods law it will pack up the day after they sell the last new one if I don't.
Brought the air shears Friday night tried them sat morning and snapped them on the second cut. Not that impressed. I'll go easier on the replaced set and see how they go.

No sign of the comps in our Aldis either.
I got an email from Screwfix today and they are doing a similar one for £90, though won't have the 3 yr warranty. Also saw a 50l JCB one in B and Q for £150, 24l for £120, last week.

thanks for the offer Alex but in saving my money for a bigger mig. Ive been swayed towards a new r tech mig 250 as it is more portable than the portamig and has stick welding capabilities as well. Just gotta save about 400 quid more than i was planning
