ALDI REDUCTIONS

Some reduced item that may be of interest to forum members. These were in Aldi this morning, Monday 13Th April, plenty of stock in the Cramlington, Northumberland branch. (Sorry insufficient time to rotate pictures.)

I`m not wanting to promote Aldi as a business and if this infringes the Forum rules on business advertising and for sale advertising Mr. Mod please feel free to remove this thread.

Thanks for that, I'm going to check out the local branch, I looked at the nailer & the metal shears & decided against them, but at that price, got to be good.

Got the nailer as a present from OH and it's a cracking wee thing. Puts up panelling in short order.

I've bought all those in the past when they have been reduced and have used them occasionally. At that price it's too tempting even if you don't need them straight away. I used the nailer to rebuild an old caravan frame and a fence with next door was put up in minutes instead of hours. I broke the shear and rang the help line in NI and got a replacement part (sent me two actually) free of charge in days as they had none left in store and I didn't want my money back.

Thanks for the offer, but as you say, postage would make it uneconomic, not desperate, just hate to miss a bargain

I was just in the Livingston store where all the air tools had the full price sticker but they were piled so high that they obscured the red "REDUCED!" stickers at the back, that listed all the new prices.
I just bought this for £12.99;

To be completely honest I just expected the ratchet and was amazed to open it at home and find the extensions, sockets, screw bits, oiler. It even came with a Euro connector and a roll of PTFE tape!

It's a very chunky / weighty piece of kit, too.

Absolute bargain at £13 so if you're in Aldi check carefully for the sale stickers!

The flipping euro 26 fittings are £4 each at my local pneumatic supplier. I've got one of their 1/2" air ratchets, works ok.

Hopefully this won't cause offence, dunk, but are you absolutely sure? I've been to two other Aldis today (nearer my work than the one one I was in yesterday) and they both had full price stickers, full price big blue price tags, but tiny little red labels that had the sale prices written on them, one just one of the shelves.
I went to one to get an impact gun and ratchet for a friend, but they only had the gun. Bought that then went the third store and got the ratchet there - all at sale price but all very difficult to spot.

By the way, this is the impact gun set - great value if you can get it at £13!

no offence taken, i wonder if this is a shop manager decission thing, i picked up some drills and brackets last year that were reduced to silly money in one aldi shop, but not reduced in two other aldi`s, i will try another aldi quite local and see if they have the bargains,

i wonder also if it maybe a regional thing

I think they move the stock arounf the various shops discounting it as it goes along. they obviously know which are the better shops to sell the various items at discount.

I've got one of the air ratchets, Skoti, bought it several years ago, don't use it much though, seems to take loads of air & is quite slow, I find it's more effective to use the rattle gun turned down. Just the sockets & extension bits & pieces are worth that even if never use the tool.

my local one had air chisels at £7.49, didnt need one but..........

they say full price on (about £15 iirc) but the overhead label says "air tools £7.49"

Guys, different aldi's reduce them at different times. It's manager dependant. Thanks for the heads ups for cramlington ;-)

Tried my local Aldi this evening ( needed pizza for me tea anyway)... nothing left but a pile of air chisels, a couple of spot blasters and one windy-gun - all reduced.
