That looks identical to my Aldi sawI did buy a similar saw at a Dutch online store a couple of weeks ago. It looks the same as the Scheppach with a different sticker. I've used it for about 50 cuts now (mainly 25x25 box section and 25x25 angle iron) and it does work great for that price. It's much easier (and less noisy!) than using a grinder.
If I could have been able to predict the future, I would have gone for the LIDL version as it comes with a 3-year warranty. Also, I want to replace the nuts holding it to the base with thumb screws as this will be easier to switch over from handheld to stationary and back.
There was 1 left in Lidl Inverness today. The box looked a little 'care worn' so it might have been a return.
The three year warrantee still stands though. I bought stuff like that from lidl/aldi and it was fine. Idiots open the boxes in the shops to have a gawk at the contents.
I might have been tempted, but space in the cave is limited. I just cut with my Evo Rage or a grinder, then I can finish on the linisher if necessary.
Same here, but i'd rather cut with a saw than a grinder. Smoke, dirt and dust everywhere, i hate it. I must see if i can pick up a rapidor or similar power hacksaw, it could live outside with a cover over it.
Got one last week, changed blade to 24 tpi Milwaukee, big improvement. Very happy against grinder alternative.
