HA beat ya, last one in my aldi ----box was open----- said to the manager things might be missing -----she said how about 9.99----- that will do nicely!!!

God loves a jammy git so make sure you go to Sunday School tomorrow or the Lord might smite thee grinder and release all the magic smoke from within.

I usually do go to church on a Sunday, usually about midnight ------ or 1 oclock in the morning not many people see you on the roof then!!

Blyth aldi, not much on sale. Pipe benders were 4.99. Ashington aldi, nothing on sale at all. ;-(
Cramlington aldi, i went to have a gander. Nothing on, except pipe benders and crow bars.

Have you got a Lidl by you? they have angle grinders a few weeks ago,just as good and same price I think?

Argos do a £14.95 jobby at 500w

Unless you're in a tearing hurry to replace your old burnt out unit, just wait a few weeks. Either Aldi or Lidl will shortly be selling a similar grinder for much the same price. If you wait another week or so you might even get one at a good %age off as they clear the shelves for the next offer. I very nearly passed up on the small wood/metal circular saws, but when they dropped the price from £30 to £20 I just couldn't leave it!

In our local they were selling the tct blades for them for £1.50!! must have had a 100 or so, I bought a few of them at that price ready for when I use the saw in anger.

Very handy saw these,for cutting Ally,wood,metal,plastic.

Never gave it a thought when that stand came up on the site here,could have adapted it so that the saw attached to it and fed metal into the saw blade,bit like you do on a bench coping saw.

That's a good idea. Wood/metal frame holding it inverted with flat cutting surface. Could be an easy way for curves in steel plate.

Yeah its pretty nifty at cutting steel,used it on quite a lot of different materials,goes through bolts like butter with the right blade,nippy on cutting box section and thick ally plate.
