thats a good idea, I was thinking that it leaning back was not good for steel engineeringI drilled some new holes in the belt carrier so the belt is now upright not leaning back and it's a lot easier to see what I'm doing now.

That reminds me. Must see if they still have any grinders in my local as mine started making a "bearing about to collapse" kind of sound.That is correct(till stocks last) I'm guessing that certain branches that don't sell a lot of tools in a certain area reduce the prices to which if this is the case then its totally wrong.
The angle grinder in some stores is £19.99 but in some others its £12.99 searching the net shows this.

I screwed mine down to a piece of plank so I can clamp it to the bench and I drilled some new holes in the belt carrier so the belt is now upright not leaning back and it's a lot easier to see what I'm doing now. It's not powerful but with the right choice of belt it can do a decent job. Keep a big stone on the other wheel for the flywheel effect.![]()
