it is worth going for, i bought one last year and i use it constantly and it hasnt let me down (other than a couple of times when the outlet valves stuck on the open position when i was taking the hose out but a bit of the old wd40 fixed that!) and plus, the accessory kit is probably worth about £40 so you are really getting the compressor for about £30 - bargain!

It's guaranteed for three years. One I paid over £30 for at Machine Mart only lasted a few months, and it didn't come with oiler or hose.

I think that I may have to go for one too. I'm not a huge user of compressed air, but it is handy for some stuff.

Hi I bought one last year "compressor" to replace the big SIP 150lt 3Hp compressor. As I just (the wife say) "just play now and why don't you sell all troughs useless tools" yeh right I will not!!! Any way that’s enough of me having a good old whine. The aldi tools all have a 3 year guarantee on them and no trouble with staff in the shops all in all if it dose you good get it you have 3 years to try it by the way I bought the work lamp (on ebay thay sell for £19.99 +P&P) and torch kit from lidi all good stuff

I can't understand this 3 year warranty on tat! Normally only offered on high end equipment where they know it is highly unlikely to fail within 3 years so won't cost them any money. This stuff must be so cheap to make that it's really not worth repairing... just bin it & replace it! So much for recycling, carbon foot-prints etc.etc.
Still, at those kinda prices, for low usage buyers it must be pretty much hard to resist.

I notice most of Aldi and Lidl power tools have a 3 year warranty, I'll bet they're better built than a lot of the rubbish out there.
I did once have an Aldi hammer drill but it gave up the ghost, couldn't really complain as I'd been using it to drill lots of 22mm holes in 10mm plate with a blacksmith's bit using a drillstand. Could have still got a refund on it if I'd been able to find the receipt but bought a Bosch to replace it and threw the Aldi one away.
Avoid B&Q 'performance power' stuff like the plague, it really is crap. I can say that with firsthand experience of buying two items and taking both back for refunds the same day, it really is that bad!

Although they give a 3 year warranty is it actually worth anything.
I'm guessing that should a compressor go wrong you're local Aldi store wouldn't have a replacement as the promotions are so short lived. The warranty is probably with the manuafcturer and they're going to want you to pay to ship it to them for repair. In reality most people are going to take the attitude that it only cost peanuts to buy, they've got a few uses out of it and just scrap the unit.

If you can be bothered to take it back you'll get your momey back if they can't replace it. It's the retailer's responsibilty.

I think they're playing a numbers game really - sell loads and put up with a few returns.
