While doing some shopping in our local audi and came cross this welders tool set


when i got it home and had a look
not bad for £4.99 i thought well done Aldi

Well worth a fiver of anyone's money! One thing to be careful of is not to hit those magnetic 'clamps' they're very easy to knock out of true either by tapping them with hammers to adjust the fit-up (like i did ) or by dropping them (err, like i did). They're a nice idea but can also be a pain in the @rse.

I use them to hold large drawing down to the bench, thats all theyre good for i reckon!

i always found the magnetic clamps get covered in rubbish, i spent more time cleaning metal dust off them than using them. Nothing wrong with using a square and tacking the job to the bench

There just not magnetic, except for swarf...Nothing else

I was using 4 magnetic clamps when building up the trailer, forund them pretty handy! You get different strengths so I guess that'll make a difference to their grab.

I'd have bought that set if I saw it and the offer must now be finished as it aint listed on their site.

Still waiting for Aldi's planning permission to be passed for an Inverness store though

Yep now only £4, at least at the ellesmere port branch. I have always found them magnetic clamps useful personally, yes you do have to keep them clean though.
