Hoping someone has knowledge that will help me out,
Anyway, recently built a hog roaster to be used at my daughters birthday bash,(as shown one of my previous threads)Cooking was done over hardwood logs and very successful it was but needed a lot of attention to keep the heat correct,I now have infrared gas burner that was used on natural gas and I have made some new jets to suit propane,My question is will an adjustable regulator help to turn down the heat. The reg I have states from 0-2bar, bearing in mind the fixed reg I have used to size the jets is the standard 14wg=0.505 psi. this means it will have to be capable of working below 0.505psi,Do you think this is do-able, or should I re-jet smaller and work at a higher pressure?
P.S. I'm asking for help as at the moment I have run out of propane and can't experiment at the moment,
Thanks in advance folks
Gordon,
PPS, the gas heater I have is a Schwank 43" long, 75,000 btu's input
