I wanted to try it on this paint. it says airless spray only but last time I used my HPLV gunThey are ok for quickly covering fences with stain, but waste a lot of product.

yikes! out of my price range! So I better not waste my money on the clarke one, Why can I not use my HPLV gun like last time it did the job just fineThe sort of airless spray they are on about is something like a Graco that costs thousands! Think of a pressure washer spraying paint at 3000 psi!
I'd think, if you're heat it and thin it (up to 5%) and use a big enough tip (at least 2.5min) it should spray OK.
The big issue is the thickness of the coat to get the advertised performance in one coat and that's why you shouldn't thin it for "normal" use.
Thin it a bit and put an extra coat on and you will be OK.
cheers I sprayed it out side last time it was warmer then in september though added a tuny spash or thinner. The bigger the tip you have and the more heat the less thinner you will need, which is good, but watch out for the reduced pot life.
I've had good results spraying heavy industrial paints with a gravity spray gun. It's a lot slower than using the proper kit but still very effective.
Oh man... i hit them.with the 2.5mm tip gun today they turned out well thanks for steering me clear of the clarke airless gun.

Pleased it worked well for you.
The finish can be a bit peely, but perfectly fine for an industrial finish and it's probably better than the finish from the Graco industrial airless sprayers, which is nothing to write he about anyway.
People forget it's a protective finish not a decoterative one, but it's a bonus if it's a bit of both.
I am happy with the HPLV outcome even more so with the 2.5mm tipYou’d be looking at at least £600-1000 to do what you want to do Lee.
