Airfed mask water problems

Here is my setup

New 3hp 100l belt driven compressor
New Metal works 3 stage filter
New Visi airfed mask

There seems to be water in the line after the filteration process (between the exit of filter and mask)

I'm a little confused?

make sure your filters have around 18 feet of airline between them and the compressor otherwise the filters heat up and stop working, the filters work on a condensation basis so if the heat up they can't condense

Ok thanks I will try that tomorrow...I have a small leak after the filter I need to replace the ptfe on the fitting could this also be causing condensation in the line?

no the leak wont cause the issue, if you want to be sure run it again if feel the filters they should be cold but i suspect they will be warm after running for some time, are they very close to the compressor now

are you running with a coalescing filter?

Yes 3 stage filter...primary >coalescing> carbon. Yes I was just mocking up system so used short runs to test. I'm using 8mm bore pipe 12 od with 8mm bore fittings.

My compressor is in the shed and has a 20m hose to the garage where there is a 2m copper pipe rise, 2m horizontal run then a 2m drop, with the filters coming off half way down the drop leg. I have a tap on both legs and get a cupful of water after an hours spraying. I get a bit of water in the filter trap and nice dry air at the gun.

a five gallon bucket of water and a 10mm coil of copper pipe coiled inside soon cools the air down and condenses to water to the air fed masks thats all i use on my line to shotblasting helmet
