Air valve with dump?

I've got an air operated mastic gun -

It's nice as, when you release the trigger, it dumps the air, so you get a clean "stop" with no ongoing dribble.


I am considering an air operated ep90 oil dispenser, and would like a similar arrangement.

Does anyone know of an off-the-shelf air valve that incorporates a dump when it's turned off?

Sounds like you want a 3/2 valve: 3 ports, 2 positions. One position is pressure port dead-headed, outlet port connected to vent port. The other is pressure port connected to outlet port, vent dead-headed.

Quick release on truck air brakes, simple little valve hangs out there on the chamber.

The other option is a safety quick release coupling on the end of your air hose.

The first button push releases the air pressure, the second push disconnects the coupling.

I have them on my main air lines. Great way to isolate a tool without disconnecting it.
