As no one seems to use them I have purchased an R Tech invertor Mig after much research, be interesting seeing how it compares to my aged Boc unit which has served me for a long time.
I was tempted to get another transformer for reliability like an Oxford but the amount of work I do doesn't justify the cost, if it outlives the warranty it will have earned it's keep anyway, so lets see how it goes.

no one seems to use them because they are pretty much brand new on the market...
i was on the verge of buying one from tom until there was a delay from their suppliers...ended up with a CWS in stead but the maggizzy does look like a decent little unit
