Hi all,
I’m looking to get myself an air fed system and would like some advice.
There’s a lot of posts about the esab A50 and speedglas 9100 series, so I’m guessing these are the two most popular. I’ve had esab and they’ve been okay. My boss has a speedglas helmet and it’s really good.
Having looked at all the products and previous posts on here, I would say that my main concern is the battery life. I work on cars mainly, from stripping the donor car back right through to fitting the final interiors, etc.. and sometimes there can be a few weeks between welding jobs. My concern is having to fork out £100+ for a new battery after a few quiet patches.
What I’ve read is that the esab is guilty of this and the 3M are better at holding their charge?
Are there any other systems worth considering or is the 3M adflo the best option?
Probably a rubbish time to ask, but today’s my first day off and I’d like to get something organised before I go back in Jan, so any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott.
Ps - Festive greetings to all!!!
