Air fed mask and comp set up

Hi every one.

Right I am thinking of having a go at spray painting, like to try new things. First of I am looking for some advise from the people in the know.

I am looking at moving my compressor out of my garage and in to an other out building so it gets clean air pluss it's away so I don't hear it. My plan is to run copper piping between the 2 buildings (3-4m pipe run) will it be ok to run the pipe down under the ground then back up to the hight I want it at in my garage or will this act as a water trap?? I also plan to fit a few pipe drops with taps on them to drain the line of any water as well as a water trap-reg.

Second off I am looking at a devilbiss air fed mask and want to know if I need any other filters in line with that or do they normaly come with every thing they need.

I have my garage compressor connected to my shed system which is 80 mtrs or so away by a 28mm alcathene pipe underground so you shouldn't have any problems there. You will need more filtering before the air fed, I think the kestrel ones are the cheapest.

Water will inevitably collect at the lowest point, but you should be OK if you install a vertical pipe to the highest point possible in your workshop and then install pipework as described here http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/spray-painting.htm.

Protect the underground pipe from frost.

Thanks for the info.

Rtbcomp. I was thinking of putting a few vertical drops in the pipe to trap and drain off any water.

Im looking at getting an air fed mask for GRP laminating, anyone ever used a pond diaphragm air pump coupled to a mask for breathing air? Most mask specs i have seen need up to 200lpm.
