I've recently picked up a WP 26 torch with a decent sheath and a nice long lead. But it came with a sort of Euro Torch type plug end on the cable rather than the 35/50 Dinse connector that I need. I removed the Euro torch looking gubbins, expecting to find a 3/8 BSP nut, but instead there is a 5/8" UNF male threaded union. A quick search hasn't revealed a Dinse adapter with a female 5/8 thread on planet internet.
I'm not sure quite how the cable/hose setup is internally configured on air cooled TIG torches WRT gas tightness/electrical conductivity, is cutting the hose/cable end and changing the union to a BSP union a possibility? Apologies if that seems like a stupid question. Just thought I'd ask before either potentially ruining the hose/cable or having to machine myself up a 5/8 UNF female to 3/8 BSP female adapter.
