I have been pushing the limits of what's practical in a 26m² workshop for quite a while now...
Recent additions have well and truly pushed the existing layout beyond breaking point.
However, after hours of painstakingly jiggling things around in Visio, I managed to find a layout that's more usable, and fits an extra machine in.
The tool trolley will also conveniently nest under the big milling machine when not in use too, giving a larger clear floorspace.
(The red squiggle is an existing floor to ceiling welding curtain, intended mostly to help isolate the machine tools from grinding dust).
There is one fly in the ointment though...
Playing about in Visio shows it will take 20 movements of major items to re-arrange the space.
Not to mention that both the the big mill and the lathe weigh over 2T, and are in the positions they're in purely because it's logistically convenient.
My back is preemptively aching just thinking about it!
