need some info about agri insurance for a trials bike.
will it require a number plate, will it require lights (I assume so if being used on the road at night) and does it need indicators, brake lights etc.
I have been given mixed answers elsewhere, some say only needs headlight and no numberplate, others say it has to be a fully road legal bike, insurance is only about where you use it.
my understanding is, with agri insurance, you are insured to use the road for a certain amount of miles, then you must go off road, such as a green lane, or in my case the farm, and then after that you are allowed the amount of miles on the road again.
I have been offered a gas gas 4-stroke for 100 quid, has a head light and tail light but no brake lights or indicators. I pretty much want to ride it 1.5 miles from the house to the farm, then around the farm and back to the house. it will be ideal really as the gates are usually locked, but there is plenty of space underneath to slide a trials bike under, and it would tackle the rocks and mud quite well too. fab up a box to carry stuff and jobs a good un, but its the getting to the farm I am worried about. I can get there without touching a road, but I have to go through public woodland which isn't exactly legal either
