Hi folks,
I have a welder as above, this appears to be the same as one in a post from many years ago and is the top two images.
Mine is different (bottom two images) where as the amp dial has been replaced by a series of bayonet sockets of which the plug fits into, not ideal but it works.
The problem I have is that the argon gas continues to come through after I release the thumb button on the torch, previously it cut off after a short delay.
I have the cover off at the moment (another 2 pics?), and am looking in the casing for a solenoid or something that would be the likely culprit in not cutting the gas off when needed.
The bottom image shows the machine on its side, and in the botton right of the pic is what i think is the switch/ solonoid (light green) that regulates the gas to flow or to cut off? the gas entry point is the pipe that connects to it.
Anyone have any ideas? certainly would be appreciated.
Thank you.
