seriously though, that takes effort, nice one. I hope your bill reflected the work...

Iv done work for the guy since the mid 90s, He's a multimillionaire but has grafted hard for it, never quibbles on a bill and BACs the money over on his phone whilst you stand there (used to write you a cheque out for those who can remember what they are)........Hes bought a £1m seafront property which equally wants the same spent on it, He has no master plan just an investment and a project to keep him amused, Iv yet to be paid simply because im waiting for all the break out work to be completed before doing the install didst want new paint to be scratched to death by a load of knuckle dragging builders. Moneys equivalent of being in the bank so im not fussed if he's not ready for another 6 months......

After being told initially that the finish was as expected the firm did a U turn, possibly working out that I had a vague idea of what I was talking and are collecting the whole lot Friday for a refund, personally for the cost of a Few of lengths of SHS 3mmx50 angle and scalf boards I wouldn't bother with a 500 mile round trip and just tell me to dispose but im glad its going as it absolutely stinks the house out with oil. I suspect it will be as is on the website for sale ......

There were a couple of comments from the company that did amuse me, "If I had let the delivery driver known when he drooped it off, he would have been able to fix it as he is a fully trained furniture technician" and "were a long established company with many happy customers trading for 6 years"

TBF as commented earlier I doubt it was done or made intentionally bad, It was just done by those who didn't know any better, and I suspect the owner(s) were once in double glazing moved onto hot tubs, then went into furniture with the next trend and in a couple of years time it will be onto the next thing when the market in this drops........ Probably 9 times out of 10 they get away with it because most dont know any better.

I also think there media is carfuly managed by a marketing company because everything posted is carefully staged, there items look nothing like the stuff produced...... Its just a shame they dont put some of the marketing budget towards production and QC.

I have got it in writing via email, which would make a far easier S75 claim on the credit card if it came to it, Claim would be fairly slow, but id have no doubt id get it back and its not like id be getting masses of interest off £3k in the bank......

I keep trying to educate my outlaws about getting a CC for the protection it gives you, I keep explaining cards dont put you in debt, people put themselves in debt, but they still insist on paying by cash or even worse by bankcard with a current account that probably has at least 5 figures sitting in it. Defiantly a generation thing as there paranoid about someone burgling the house and nicking a £400 TV but will spend 25 minutes talking to Amir from BTs "fraud team" whilst they shove a load of ransomware on there laptop.......
