Yes I had fun finding that one out. IIRC it is not exactly BSP the thread depth and / or profile is different, a BSP conduit nut was a very sloppy fit I ended up cutting a suitable thread on the lathe.Yup.
The thread on the stud that holds the change wheel to the spindle on my Drummond Roundbed is 3/8 BSP

1/4 BSCY if you want 60' thread or common or garden BSF for 55'M6.35x.98mm would be handy.
Yes it came with two thin conduit nuts run together, the minor diameter was fine but the major was bigger and profile was wrong. That said there is nothing to say that my spindle is original especially as the nose should be 1MT but a 2MT rattles around in it, I'll probably make a new one sometime.A 3/8 BSP fitting fits perfectly on both mine. Are conduit nuts those thin ones? Maybe there weren't enough threads to give a good fit?
