If you go from a 3ph to a single phase motor you generally have to spec the new motor at least a 1/3rd bigger than the old one if you want to have the same torque output.
You are going the other way so if you go for a 0.75kw 3ph motor you will already have a motor with 1/3rd more torque than the original! So you might not need a bigger motor if you buy a decent make.
But if you buy a Chinese motor you need to know that their horses are a lot smaller so you will need to overspec the motor, the same with their vfd's.
