Advice required on price to ask for used steel.

I have quite a bit of steel left over from a project. It has been stored in my garage & greenhouse. It is not bad condition as I sprayed it with UB80 when I bought it.

I have got the new prices from a stockholder, so what would be a sensible way to work out what it is worth? For example, ask for a 1/3 of the new price or something else?

Probably depends if it's a popular profile and how keen you are to get shot of it..

If I had bought for example some lengths of box section at £20 a length, I would be looking for at least £10 a length and if it was the popular 20mm or 50mm box I would probably ask a bit more.

If when I was buying it initially someone had offered me it for £7 a length cheaper than the stockist I would have snapped their hand off.
