Hi, as a novice metalworker I'm looking for some advice which aluminium grade I should be using for hand forming compound curves. I have watched u tube videos and have picked up lots of " tips and tricks" but most fail to mention what grade and thickness they use. I have no oxy - acetylene so annealing is out of the question so the softer and thinner the better
My local supplier according to his web site has only 1050 the thinnest of 1mm , not sure if this would be suitable. I would be very interested in what you very knowledgeable folk on hear could advise please.
My plan is to build a display piece 2meter high as a piece of garden art along these lines but haven't finalised the design .
Thanks in advance , Steve
