Apologies in advance if this post is in the wrong place. I bought a cheap transit connect, basically to learn how to weld. Sills were gone on it. I have started to cut away and clean up one side.
I think I've got near a point of actually having to weld the new sills I got on. I'm honestly just feeling like I'm going to mess it up and get disheartened.
Any advice on getting repair panel to fit well, seems a little off or anything I can do at this point to make life easier for myself welding.
Any advice appreciated. I'll attach pictures below. I'm going to stick to it, and learn one way or another but would be nice to be able to do a half decent job. Also anywhere painted in zinc primer was sand blasted.
So yeah rough shape cut out, tried fit panel up to get better shape to cut found that very difficult. Just felt like wouldn't be good fit in the end at all, if that makes sense?
So yeah, any suggestions at all, I'm as green as they come.
