Advice on regulators please.

Dug this lot out of the scrap bin in my last place couple of years ago, nothing wrong with them, boss said he was required to upgrade.
Anyway just ordered the little blue Clarke hobbywelder and want to get a half size gas bottle on it. Would any of these be of use?

Id certainly be giving them a go ,, all my multistage regs are out of date hospital / lab regs and they work fine , fit a flow meter if your not sure whats going on and away you go on shield gas you cant go wrong, a wee bit different if your using pure O2 of course.

The one with thread tape on should probably be chucked out, a bullnose that doesn't seal by itself is useless and thread tape is bodgery. Maybe worth trying to clean up and test, though.
The others... use at own risk, they're out of date...
And by that, I mean, I bet there are hundreds of thousands of out-of-date regulators in use still

must have been some knobhead putting that ptfe on the reg .it serves no purpose as its just on the thread its the bullnose that makes the seal there will be nothing wrong with it . the 2 harris look ok other 2 look a bit iffy

The bottom right one is a co2 regulator, the other 3 should be fine for ar/co2.

The Merkle one looks interesting, it seems to have a secondary regulating valve, i wonder if it's a combined pressure and flow reg? I'd want to try it out.

How far out of date are they? It should be stamped on the back.
Ive had one apart and they are quite simple inside, enough to strip and inspect, reassemble if the seal and diaphram are still good. If very old I'd do that before trying them. A new one is 23 quid.
