Anyone ever welded this trunnion shaft bracket to mild steel plate for dumper trailers hauling approx 40tons of aggregate

miller big blue 400 and millermatic 255 but not sure if it's cast iron or cast steel would like to know what stick electrode to use

Well, give it a try, if it's cast iron that's a whole different barrel of fun, but doubt it, it would be brittle.

Try googling hutchens trunnion bracket.

Cast steel, probably. Look at features. But you need to read the info and check it matches what you are buying. Or call the supplier?

You could spark test the part.
