Thanks its not easy keeping a car in good nick here.

Thats not me i'm pretty new to the detailing stuff, lost interest lately as the car is not running too well.

I help out at www.mk5golfgti.co.uk updating the site etc. Some good lads on there when i joined up i had no tools most i ever did was change a battery since then i've got stuck in and both cars no longer go to the local mechanic who knows nothing and charges me more than everyone else.

Gerry why buy when you can borrow..i have one sitting here doing nothing,give me a call or text tomorrow and you can borrow it plus the G3 i have.

Thanks for all the time taken by everyone to help me on this ......I've ordered the latest Silverline (1500 watts, soft start, variable speed) with a kit of polishing mops etc. should be here Tuesday .... sorry Brian, I was out walking in Snowdonia all yesterday and only saw your post this morning but I wouldn't mind coming round to pick your brains if you've done this type of thing .

I've taken note of all the advice, especially as to using the polisher...I'm ordering some touch up later when I find the paint code....so I'll keep all informed of my progress...wish I could just weld it 'cos I'm good at that!!

the same as mine mate and the advice i can offer regarding using one could be written on its switch ime affraid
