Advice on anchor fixings for railing posts

Hi folks

Wanting some advice on which type of fixing to use for the posts of some railings, they will be fixed via a plate to a concrete block wall (100mm solids with 100mm poured concrete between the two skins with steel in the concrete and ties in across the two skins).

Not had much luck with the sleeve type that are basically an expanding nut a bolt goes into, or the really coarse thread bolt type. I have. Used the knock in type with a sliding tapered bit that grips as the nut pulls it up, but only used the massive ones in the floor not horizontally.

Any resin anchor will do, making your own studs out of lengths of studding is cheaper than buying them and filing or grinding a flat on the part of the studs in the resin stops them unscrewing from the cured resin if you ever need to undo them. Use an SDS drill as you want a fairly rough sided hole for the resin to key into and make sure it's clean before injecting.

You could use concrete screws or thunder bolts, no messing just drill a hole and screw them in. We used them on a few jobs including window and door frames, gate posts etc.
