Advice needed

Hi Guys
i bought a welder from Ebay it's a Super 200 P

and i have never tig welded before i have done all other types
i was wondering if anyone else has one of these machines that could explain the tig setup

If you've never done any TIG before then before trying to understand all the controls on your machine I suggest you start by reading the TIG tutorials on this site: http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/tig-tutorial.htm

They give a great starting point.

Sorry have not been on line but here is a pic of the front of the machine all i can find is foreign stuff on line and the small instruction book that come with it is useless

Upslope time is the length of time it takes from start up to your main current. Peak and basic current is main and background current for your pulse , downslope time is same as upslope but in reverse so it's time from main current to arc out. I'm struggling to see the bottom row. If you have frequency I am going to guess its for the pulse not ac wave in this case it's the speed at which it fluctuates between the peak and basic current. Ac balance is the % of polarity spent in when in ac for example an AC wave fluctuates between dc+ and dc- this will allow you to set where you want the bulk of the wave (usually around 65-70% dc-) I don't think this has adjustable AC frequency I'd imagine it's fixed. Hope this helps.

Am i right in saying the peak current is the hottest part of the pulse and basic is the coolest part of the pulse and the pulse duty is pulses per second?

Ah that's better much clearer to see. I have changed my mind now I've seen the duty control. I think the peak current is your main current and the base current is a % of it which you will set as a start current . The duty is the % of the main current used as a background current for the pulse I think.

Sorry for being thick lol for instance how would i change from 1 pulse per second to 100 pulses per second
