Production of equine steel hardware has steadily increased ; partition grilles and internal stable box panels etc. which then go for galvanising.
I have been using a Autostar 160. Although running close to the limits welding 80, 40mm box, 12mm rod and 22mm tube. It's ranges from 3-5mm thick it does a good job. I want to take the welder home and also make it mobile.
So I've come to some machines I'd like to replace it with. I don't want LCD screens and countless push buttons and menus.
1 Lorch m pro 210 240-415
2 Oxford migmaker 200-1 (because it's half the price of the Lorch)
3 Autostar 250 ( because I've found the 160 to be without fault).
Machines above are 15kg wire reels.
