adverts linked to the forum

has anyone noticed looking at a post on the forum on a subject and you get bombarded with adverts on u tube last week it was chissels for sale 2day its bloody grass seed and a host of other products that has been mentioned on here

I didn't even get any offers from dildodave.de
I use Firefox with AdBlocker Ultimate.
Plus DDG and I run Ubuntu.
No adverts at all.

do you have a youtube account and are you logged into it ?

It's way more likely to be the Frequency Illusion, or Baader-Meinhoff Effect:

"A cognitive bias where a person notices a specific word, phrase, or product more frequently after recently learning about or noticing it for the first time. This creates the illusion that the thing is appearing more often, when in reality, it is just becoming more noticeable to your brain."

This is often the explanation for people who say "I swear Alexa is listening to me because I was just talking in the kitchen last week about Suzuki Vitaras and now I can't move for adverts about small Japanese mini-SUVs"

I doubt Malcolm and Wozzah are siphoning off the posts and flogging them to Google.
