I have been on there all.day. you will see I. Posted the last 4 messages with no replies as yet....
So much info it takes so long to filter it all.
Before installing any version, you have to make sure that you have a SDCard that has the correct partition layout:
- First partition is a primary partition formatted as FAT32
- Second partition is a primary partition formatted as EXT4
EXT4 is a linux filesystem so you will need a program that can handle Linux filesystems when you are using Windows.
Before installing the ZIP file make sure that:
- You have the correct partition layout (if you have VegaCream installed, you have the correct layout, if not then use the NVFlash installer. This will repartition your internal memory))
- Copy the ZIP file to your SD-Card
- Boot into Recovery
- Do a FULL WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Install the ZIP file from your SDCard
- After installing reboot the tablet.

It's strange really. I had one years ago and sold it as i hated the thing.
I did not use my phone much back then so I thought as I am on my phone 90% of the time
It's must be similar......it's nothing like it. Lol
And it's mainly for my grandson to watch peppa pig I would try again.......and it's worse than I remembered with the stock rom.

its both the first is done to fat 32 most cards are fat 32 however can be formatted to ntfs and back to fat32
sometimes you have to format them to fat 32
most phones ask you to format the card or do it themselves without asking when inserted into them

But it does not say how big a card and how much for each type etc..lol

Try a Cyanogenmod on it.
I am.fairly clued up with it but I can understand why your head hurts. The real problem is everyone had a different ROM they use. They all have strange names. Some are based on the Android system 2.2 (as it comes standard) not much works on it.
Some are based on a later operating system. Think of the OS like window visa . Windows xp....and windows 98 etc. But the tablet (computer) is too old to run the latest OS.
THEN YOU HAVE. A Rom which alters the look and functionality of the OS so windows 98 with a new desktop and programs. BUT they all come in one package and installed at ghe same time.
Make any more sense now?

If you could send those files to rhinotechltd3@gmail.com it would give me a working starting point to experiment from.I'd forgot the Advent Vega, must dig mine out and get it on Eblag as an antique
I remember "updating" the OS (ROM?) when I bought it to allow a few more functions than factory, got all the info from here I've still got the downloads I used if that's any use?.
It actually flashed when I started the NVflash package on the PC
