Advent calenders are the only Christmas I allow before 1st December (except for the stuff I am selling that's Christmas based cos well money is nice) as you need it to start on 1st December and no one wants that crappy chocolate one with Bob the builder on it

Around here (Leicestershire) the lights do double duty for Diwali which is 4th November this year, I think....

I think you'll find that Channel 5 have been showing 'Christmas Films', of doubtful quality and American origin for about a fortnight. Not only that they seem to be mightily proud of the fact.

Same here. Wondering whether to or not this year though. It was February last year before I got round to taking it down. Totally mucked up tradition. On the plus side, I finally got one tall enough to touch the ceiling. First year I was short by a large margin. It did end up occupying a good portion of my living room due to the width of it too.

After I moved out of the parents many many year ago I vowed always to have a real tree, in the previous house we used to have a tree for every year we had been there, the lounge was big and we got up to nine in a nice little Forrest scene!
