I've been chuffed to bits with my stanley fatmax torpedo level, it's worked for years, been dropped etc and slammed around on steel - still accurate enough. You can buy two of them for the same price as a stabila.
There are still plenty people out there who wouldn't even consider anything but a stabila. I still buy stabila for work, but that's not my money
Thing is, if they made adjustable vial levels for builders/joiners/steel errectors, most of them would be trashed or out of level by the second day of use. You know what some people are like.
