Adjustable vial levels.

I've been chuffed to bits with my stanley fatmax torpedo level, it's worked for years, been dropped etc and slammed around on steel - still accurate enough. You can buy two of them for the same price as a stabila.

There are still plenty people out there who wouldn't even consider anything but a stabila. I still buy stabila for work, but that's not my money

Thing is, if they made adjustable vial levels for builders/joiners/steel errectors, most of them would be trashed or out of level by the second day of use. You know what some people are like.

I have a Wickes branded 6' level that seems pretty decent, the Stablia one was twice the price but felt very lightweight!
It has a domed vial rather than a flat one, I'm not sure if that's makes it more accurate or not.

I was on a site the other day and the brickies where adjusting a red level think it was Milwaukee don't know whether it was designed to be adjusted but they had the end cap of and adjusting it with a screwdriver in the end of the level moving the vial around might be worth investigating

I've seen a digital Milwaukee level that can be adjusted with buttons close to the vial. Supposed to be something like IP66, too.

If they do they've shot themselves in the foot as the wickes one feels much better!

Milwaukee redstick look very heavy duty. They are adjustable for doing gradients i think
