Adhesive help

I need to stick some stainless outlets into an existing aluminium gutter ( stainless coz I can weld them....) basically a tube with a flat flange pushed through the gutter into the downpipes, should have been done when the gutter was installed, but I can still see where they tied their horses.....

Needs to be permanent, and watertight...... and easy to apply on site.

silicone is an obvious choice, but any other suggersions for a durable connection?

You probably know this, but make sure the stainless and ally don't come into contact or the ally will rot very quickly!

you know... I never even concidered that....cancel teh stainless & go with aly... ho hum, tin bashing again

There are plenty of building adhesives on the market. I would use a polysuphide adhesive preferably two part. It lasts longer and sticks well. Don't worry if you can only get one part.

If the gutter is that old are you sure it's ally and not cast iron? I've changed a lot of old gutter usually swapping the old cast for ally.

deffo ally...its a lined concrete jobby, oh how I hate them

poly S' is a good suggestion...not used it for years, better than silicone for durability & d movement imo.

polyurethane sealer ,its mega strong and will leave a film between the 2 parts so they dont touch
