Looks like that would be handy for lots of other uses in the workshop, wood turning, metal grinding, sanding etc.
Parm, dumb question:- if there are no consumables how is the air from the compressor cleaned/filtered?

Ok, hands up. I missed that as I was too busy thinking about the conventional filter consumables.

Some description of filter will be provided, usually worn on a belt and filters out oil mist and water vapor. Ive no idea how long these last and I know nothing about compressors or air requirements.

I reckon air requirement info will be supplied with any device, then it will be a case of doing some sums. Sorry cant be more helpful, comp air isn't my thing

And yes, good for anything that requires RPE

google is showing me 2 stage and 3 stage filters which must combine filter media to get clean particle and oil vapour free air.

Would not want to be breathing air straight out a compressor with that oil and water mist

Those belt mounted filters usually have an outlet to the gun so that you’re not trailing two hoses around.
I considered one before but the wall mounted pre-filters I’d seen were more like £300. Guess its not the sort of thing you want to cheap out on.
It’s a bit odd because i have an air fed system for my blasting hood and that just has a single replaceable cartridge which is about £70 to replace.
I find the whole respiratory protection thing rather annoying because you try to do the right thing but nowhere does anyone say you need this respirator when using this product etc.

I don’t know if this meets the basic standard for painting but it’s what I use for the non 2K paints. I don’t smell any paint fumes at all when using it. When you take it off the smell of paint or thinners is suddenly extremely strong smelling. It must be somewhere near fit enough.
