Yeah but how nice is the fit up between nut and screw, it'll be worth it.

To be fair I have tried the new nut on my old cross slide screw there doesn't seem any movement, I'm going to refit the old screw with the new nut to the carriage and put a dial gauge on it to check the backlash in/on the screw/dial...

If there's movement I'll mod the new screw...

Andy, thanks for confirming that the L15/L16 nuts are the same L5/L6 Nuts...appears I may have had the last imperial one at G&M Tools...as there's no more listed...

Update, I've set up the dial gauge on the cross slide, the backlash on the cross slide dial, appears to be less than .0005 (and there's also no adjustment screws fitted in the bronze nut at the moment).

I may just leave it for a while and recheck it later just in case it increases...before modifying the screw assembly...
