Acme nut

So it would seem I am in need of an acme nut. Not sure how to measure or what to measure.

Suffice to say its off a SIP 12 inch metal bandsaw. This is the part. WK04-00032 but to be honest I cant see me getting an exact replacement so I am guessing it might be buying a nut and make it fit by turning it down and putting it into the old one.

its number 45 on the diagram.

Major diameter and tpi as good a start as any. Is it ACME or trapezoidal?

He's already done a vid on cutting a left hand acme.

You can screwcut it no problem. I just ground a tool to the same profile. Give m a moment and I'll go and dig it out.

FYI I have got my hands on another 12" saw in better condition than my current one. You might want to just buy my old one with the recut nut and use it as spares.

That would depends on how much it costs...lol That scrap yard by any chance. lol
