etch is one product,and hibuild primer is another all together.etch does'nt need a thick coat at all
etch will not protect it.use epoxy primer if it's not going to be sprayed right away.
Cheers, I was planning on overcoating the acid etch to protect from moisture.
Will the epoxy primer adhere as well as acid etch primer and is it available for DIY use in decent volumes? A quick search only shows it as 2k.

any kind of etch will soak up damp unless you paint it straight away , same with high build primers
2 choices2k acid etch then a high build primer or the way forward epoxy 2k primer . its summer so not much moisture about just get a coating on it as soon as possible .if u buy new replacement pannels from the shop there only primed need i say more
