Time to switch to oxy propane for heating and cutting , Tig for welding and brazingView attachment 262772!! Today’s bill.
Btw,I don’t deal with BOC,just my gas supplier has to get them wherever he can.
With propane you can definitely braze , cutting is better than acetylene but you have to keep a longer flame length between tip and piece than acetylene.Maybe.thing is ,I learnt to braize and gas weld 42 years ago, then cutting 6 years later,so hard to change, would like to try,how about mig braizing, maybe evening class at Hereford?apart from money saving what other ad/disadvantage?

is that for a full large size bottle of acetylene£54 + vat here nick. Ring boc up and get onto your area manager and complain. Also get the handling fee waived.

@TechnicAl ,I pay about £50 odd for a 46kg propane.using oxy acetylene for welding and the odd heating you dont use much and it goes a long way its the oxygen that you use a lot ofIf you don't use much acetylene some of the rent free places can supply acetylene, hobbyweld is one.
