Does acetone go off/ out of date??
So what moulds you make premmington? Arther
The humbrol factory found out about its flash point when some was spilt and it burned the factory down, it was spectacular to watch, there was explosions galore like a huge fire work display, did nothing for the building thoughNo...
Acetone, we have loads of it here for cleaning fibre glass moulds down.
Biggest risk with Acetone is fire, it has a very low flashpoint.
Yeah your safer with it outside as most flammable stuff, good if you can build a flamstoreYep, I always store mine outside in a galvo dustbin half full with sand, and thats only a litre at most, all rags etc in another bin outside at days end.Arther
If you don't store it in a sealed contained it'll evaporate fairly quickly, but that's it.Does acetone go off/ out of date??
that happened to me with 5 gallon of gunwash rotted through and lost it allI had a panic a few years back when I found my new 25L can had decided to empty itself. It looked like it had rusted from the inside out. Luckily I kept it in a shed away from my workshop!
Not that I'm aware of, it's just a volatile solvent with a low flash point. Is it on of those spirits that burns with no visible flame ?
Great thanks for the info. Im able to get some locally that works out a lot cheaper than buying 1 ltr bottles of it. Just didn't want to get it if goes out of date, be a waste. This should last me years
