AC Interferance ?

i have been doing some welding DC tig at a friends house.
it keeps setting the house alarm off that wasn't even set this is due to a bad earth in his house.
others in his road have had the same sort of problems with bad a earth in there houses.

funny story, my bro in law had an alarm fitted to his house. Turns out the ******** who fitted it took a feed from a the wrong side of a fused spur used as a control for the heating and hot water. As soon as the heating and hot water was up to temp, the house alarm would lose power, go onto battery for 10 mins then go off.
