Generic Chinese machines, can be good, had Parwelds 200Amp version and it lasted well, got an identical (or so I thought) one from LTS and it went on fire on switch on, replacement lasted a few hours welding before it went on fire, never got my money back on that.
If it is a local place that you know you can get backup then might be worth it to you.
If it was sat on eBay at half that price I’d not touch it with a barge pole however as you saw it in a local supplier it’s worth buying at £400. That local point of contact means your warranty is going to be relatively hassle free for a couple of years with no silly shipping costs and more importantly you’ve got a face behind a counter to throw it at when you’ve reached the limit of your patience with the thing.in a local suppliers

Simple.I would`t buy a Apple Tree from a Welding supplier.Save your money and wait for another day.Its in a local largest garden/agricultural type suppliers, to be fair they are a good supplier, but it's the far eastern build quality that would worry me and the 380 volt input...
If l was considering buying it, which I'm not.
