Ok but can you set it without seeing the amps? What I'm getting at is if you mark up the pot on the pedal with what position is at what amps you'll know where to set it without having to activate it. Would that workNo Dial Indicator on the pedal...The only way i can see to set the amperage is to Activate HF and adjust the knob till you see your desired amperage on the display. Other than turning the gas off everytime...
I opted to now have the Euro style tig torch, requested a plain old WP17 Flexy. So no Pot on the torch itself.
That is the only way I have found to set the max current. No Dial Indicator on the pedal...The only way i can see to set the amperage is to Activate HF and adjust the knob till you see your desired amperage on the display. Other than turning the gas off everytime...
Mine is a 201, the pedal is blue and a different shape with the pot on the other side from the control cable, my main gripe is how easy it is to knock the pot and changing the max current.@zx9 has this set up I believe and I seem to remember a thread where he too mentions the pedal is a pain. Perhaps he can shed some light on how he gets around it.
Well I'm not been funny but calling parweld isn't gonna change anything if that's the way it is.@zx9 Exactly my gripe, had the same issue in the Eastwood, Too easy to knock the amperage on the pedal.
Its really annoyed me this has, Might give Parweld a call tomorrow see what their take is on this. Its a simple feature, that in my eyes, should be present...
I would be interested to hear their take on it, you would have thought it would work as per the front panel pot or indeed the pot on the ergo torch.@zx9 Exactly my gripe, had the same issue in the Eastwood, Too easy to knock the amperage on the pedal.

To me it seems silly that it does NOT do it...Might be as simple as removing a pin from the plug, as said, when the pedal is plugged in, it locks out the amperage adjustment on the panel.
Maybe. But it seems like it's just the way it is mate.Im hoping they might have some advice, maybe theres just something im not doing?
It's the second pot gizMight be as simple as removing a pin from the plug,
