absolute begginer

hey im a 16yr old absolute begginer on a budget looking to learn how to weld , im hoping to start some small projects with my dad as a way of reconnecting with him ,like a petrol gocart or similar and realised this would be quite difficult without welding ,
idealy itl be used for joing tubing piping sheeting etc so any advice would be great
im from cardiff in wales are there any places we could take evening courses or simialr or any advice on a good welder to buy so we can learn through trial and error thanks.

Hi Jackbay, and welcome.

As a complete beginner, you won't go far wrong with a Clarke mig. There are various options available depending on what material thickness you eventually want to be able to weld - Weldequip on this forum is a Clarke agent and will be able to offer good price and service.
I don't know about courses in your area, I guess it would be a case of contacting your local colleges to find out what is available. Alternatively, once you have your welder, you can check out the tutorials section on here and learn for yourself at home.
