had to use it as i had no more / apart from the horible stink of the burnt oil smoke it lasted rather well
Yes. Use by dates of grinding discs are usually marked on the metal ring in the centre.
That's incredible! all of mine are made in the FutureI had a discussion with a supplier about this and they told me they were manufacture dates.

Thats interesting , maybe it's a per brand thing , my info was from a Klingspor rep. Use the 9" discs a lot and the newest date I've seen on a fresh box of discs (stamped on the metal) was 6 months past.That's incredible! all of mine are made in the Future![]()


Thats what it sounds like to me as well... Its been an expiry date for decades, pretty standard stuff. Also called validity, sometimes has a V stamped next to the date.I use quite a few different manufactures and never seen one stamped as a manufactured date? You sure your rep isn't dumping old stock on you?![]()
It was a product rep from Klingspor(edit - he probably ment the batch date on the box though) , maybe I will give him a call on mondayA few examples easily to hand:
