About to buy my first (and last) Mig welder. I've decided on either an SIP 06508 Migmate 130Turbo Mig Welder, or the SIP 06509 Migmate 130T DP Mig welder , which seems like a good all-rounder for the sort of work I'm likely to get.
Is it better to have the dual purpose or should I stick to gas only? I'll be using it to mend decorative metal work and wrought iron.
My main question is:
My shed/workshop where it will be used is aprox 45metres from the house. It's wired up with 2.5 wire at the moment, ok for lights and light power tools. Will I need to beef it up if I want to use a Mig at that distance? Up to 4.0 perhaps? Any input welcome.
