The only fault I found with Aldi Verniers is they don't like being left in my garage over winter.I think the damp atmosphere makes the display vanish, they need. A couple of days in the airing cupboard to recover.

So, applying the above 2 tips, if someone doubts their own ability in the slightest to do a task to absolute perfection it's best to pay someone to do it for them.
They may find themselves watching on and potentially think "I would have done that a bit better/neater" and have the joy of signing a fat cheque at the end of the job??
There are many people who have every tool to hand and try to make everything perfect and last forever-but they do tend to be slow and a bit frustrating to observe at times. If your knocking up a chicken run or performing some general botchery there are a few tips that are priceless. The posi bit countersink I have found really handy, not that I would set about countersinking 1000 screw heads with one, but when I have needed to put a couple of screws in and the countersink tool is miles away or just not to hand a quick swirl with the posi will stop the wood splitting when the screw goes flush. If it's a commission I'm working on though-perfection is where its at

cheap tools arent cheap again you replace them with the good one you should have bought

except pliers always always handy to have a cheap one for rather melt the handles of a cheap one than a knipex when i forget bout it at lunch

I couldn't afford a Mitutoyo dial indicator, so I get Mitutogo one from Hong Kong via ebay.......its amazing how much cheaper they are because of a spelling mistake

and somehow I don't think it was made in Japan either.

i got a brand new starret one of ebay for a fiver and included delivery it was only 10 miles up the road as well

here is a god fab tip
"don't expect the frame to weld up nice and square" if all the sides are cut different lengths or at odd angles " spend time and take care cutting it will save you lots and lots later
