garage local to where i was working , Big IBC of used hydraulic oil on the forklift down the road think that was his heating sorted for a while

Are there no regulations on burning waste oil? The fumes be full of metallic compounds and dioxins.

Arren't there already enough rules and regulations in the world? Everything kills you at some point. Let them get on with their ingenious inventions and contraptions, the UK atmospheric pollution is under 1% of the global total.

Tell the Chinese, Indians, etc the UK is under 1% of atmospheric pollution anyway.

There are regulations, Scotland has more restrictive ones than England and Wales IIRC.

I'd love to heat the house using waste oil, motor or veg, but if there's one thing I don't tinker with it's the domestic heating system. It's not worth the risk.

what pressure do you need bob?

I have a gear pump I used to run when I ran my vans on veg oil, it's 12v, but it'll give you more than enough pressure/flow, has built in pressure regulator too (no gauge, just screw in out to adjust)

yours foc if it's any good to you, lease I can do after you gave me that bit of giant pipe for my cement mixer (that I still haven't built....)

think there's a pile of oil rated hose with it too, 3/8 hose iirc

I'll dig it out tomorrow and have a look

if it's just for oil transfer I've got a couple of tam105 pumps which would be better suited to that - not as much pressure but much better flow - I assumed you needed lots of pressure for the burner

tam105's are loved by veg oil / bio diesel people too :-)

The TAM105, discontinued some years ago from what I remember of my veg oil days, aren't self priming.
