A Question for Boxford Owners!

Further to my other 4 jaw chuck thread, it looks like I could do with a decent 4 jaw chuck. I know my spindle thread is 1.5” x 8tpi the same as a Boxford, but I’m wondering about the size of the register on the Boxford. its the red bit in the diagram below

On my lathe it’s 1.53” or 38.94mm

Im hoping that the Boxford is the same as that will probably make it easier for me to find a 4 jaw for mine without having to turn up a new backplate.

If the Boxford register is 1.5" then you can take a Boxford chuck and turn the register to suit your larger one. Take care though, there are some (rare) early Boxford that were a different threadform to the later ones.
